The mother company of Roya Development is Roya Group, which was established in 1997. It has numerous subsidiaries engaged in various industries, including Oko Plan, and Tiba Company.

Roya Development Egypt was founded by Eng. Hesham Shoukry. In 2007, it was established as the real estate division of Roya Group. Later in March 2015, Pioneers Holding Group obtained a 77.6% majority share in Roya Development. 

Thus, Pioneers Holding owns 77.6% of Roya, Engineer Hisham Shoukry owns 16%, and other investors own 6.4%.

With a working capital of 2 billion EGP and an investment of over 3 billion US dollars, the company is currently among the fastest expanding in the development and investment sectors.
